การออกฤทธิ์

Atorvastatin ออกฤทธิ์เป็น selective competitive inhibitor ของเอนไซม์ HMG-CoA reductase ซึ่งเป็นเอนไซม์สำคัญในกระบวนการสร้าง cholesterol ที่ตับ

Atorvastatin 20 mg is an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor (statin) used as an adjunct to diet to reduce LDL-C, total cholesterol, ApoB, and triglycerides and to help reduce cardiovascular risk in appropriately selected patients. Mechanism of Action

Atorvastatin is a selective competitive inhibitor of HMG-CoA reductase, the rate-limiting enzyme in hepatic cholesterol synthesis.
